Their website also includes links to several other organizations that provide support for people with muscular dystrophy in India, some of which also fund research http://www.mdindia.org/org_india.html

If you live in the US I would recommend that you contact the Muscular Dystrophy Association http://www.mda.org/research/ who play an important role in supporting patients as well as funding research into treatments, and potential cures, for muscular dystrophy.
