Of course, their numbers would have been better had their own bad behavior not driven away individuals who were there to demonstrate against research in a civil and reasoned manner.

It’s a lot easier to get people to donate money towards funding medical research that involves animals than to get them to give up a couple of hours to wave a placard saying what to them might seem pretty obvious.
