Today we want to amplify the efforts of Americans for Medical Progress in their sixth national Biomedical Research Awareness Day (BRAD). BRAD was developed by Dr. Logan France through the Michael D. Hayre Fellowship in Public Outreach and was celebrated in a virtual format due to the pandemic, yesterday. It is an initiative committed to educating students and the public on the importance of biomedical research and the humane use of animals. Veterinary schools, medical schools, research institutions, and others around the world will be participating and celebrating at their respective institutions.
The website for BRAD is full of stories highlighting the vital role of biomedical research for improving the quality of life not only in humans but in other animals too.
